JAKE CROCKER UTILIZES AN EXTENSIVE KNOWLEDGE OF VARYING MUSICAL GENRES TO EMBODY THE EMOTIONS OF HIMSELF AND THE ARTISTS HE WORKS WITH.
His instrumentals have provided a platform for various collaborators, such as XXL Freshman nominee Raz Simone, rising Seattle artist Ronnie Dylan, and various others to speak stories of their truths and experiences. Jake Crocker combines familiarity and innovation through his production, which effectively allows him to maintain a level of relevancy in the ever-changing modern music culture. He sets out to define what it means to be a true producer.
Throughout 2014 and early 2015 Jake created multiple instrumentals for Raz Simone’s debut LP, Cognitive Dissonance: Part One and follow up project Cognitive Dissonance: Part Two. Both of which received rave reviews from NPR, Complex Magazine, MTV, 2 Dopeboyz, and various other blogs and magazines. Jake also came together with Ronnie Dylan in mid 2014 to start the creation of Manumission, which dropped March 1st, 2015.
The summer of 2014 found Jake Crocker on a two month, 52 city tour where he preformed live keyboard with Raz Simone, while they opened for Strange Music’s Rittz and Taylor Gang’s Tuki Carter on Rittz’s debut OD tour.
